The ABDT-LD series slurry electromagnetic flow meter is a special electromagnetic flow meter designed for measuring high viscosity and uniform media such as sewage, pulp, slurry, cement slurry, mortar, and coal water slurry. The slurry type electromagnetic flowmeter adopts high and low frequency mixing excitation technology and unique slurry noise suppression and removal technology, effectively improving the ability to measure slurry, with good stability, and can accurately measure slurry flow with a concentration of up to 78% (solid content).

Overview

The ABDT-LD series slurry type electromagnetic flowmeter is a special electromagnetic flowmeter dedicated for measuring slurry high-viscosity uniform medium such as sewage, pulp, slurry, mortar and coal slurry.The slurry type electromagnetic flow meter adopts high and low frequency mixed frequency excitation technology and unique slurry noise suppression and removal technology, which effectively improves the ability of measuring the slurry and has good stability and can accurately measure the slurry flow with a concentration of up to 78% (solid content).


Characteristic

ABDT-LD series slurry electromagnetic flowmeter is with the following characteristics:

●For bad working conditions, such as the fluid mixed with a high concentration of slurry, coal slurry, pulp and other slurry, a stable measurement can be achieved;

●Use high frequency excitation technology with strong interference resistance, reliable measurement and high precision.

●Regardless of the change of fluid density, viscosity, the linear measurement principle achieves high precision pressure;

●No resistance flow parts in the measuring pipe, small pressure loss and low straight pipe requirement;

●Sensor is with grounding electrode to achieve good grounding of the instrument;

●High-definition backlight LCD display, all-English menu operation, easy to use, easy operation, easy to learn and easy to understand;

●With the RS485 digital communication signal output;

●It has a two-way flow measurement function.

●It can be used for the corresponding explosion-proof occasions.

Maximum fluid temperature: integrated type  ≤ 70℃;

Separated type: PTFE lining   ≤ 80℃

Polyneoprene lining   ≤ 65℃   

High temperature rubber   ≤ 120℃

Polyurethane rubber lining   ≤ 60℃

PFA lining   ≤ 150℃

F46 lining   ≤ 110℃

Fluid conductivity   ≥ 5uS/cm


Product composition

The electromagnetic flowmeter consists of two parts: electromagnetic flow converter and electromagnetic flow sensor. The separated type also requires a special two-layer shielded cable to connect the converter and sensor.


Product type

The ABDT-LD series electromagnetic flowmeter is divided into two structural forms: integrated type and separated type. It can be used in the specified explosion-proof places.

The sensor is available with electrodes of seven different materials and a lining of six different materials.

6. Materials: electrode form and material

Electrode form can be divided into standard type, scraper type, removable type and the grounding electrode.

The electrode and grounding electrode materials are 7 kinds of 316L stainless steel, harden alloy B, harden alloy C, titanium, tantalum, platinum alloy, stainless steel coated with tungsten carbide.

Flange material: carbon steel, stainless steel (optional)

Grounding ring material: stainless steel

Door protection ring material: stainless steel, carbon steel.

7. Shell protection

IP65

IP68 is limited to the separated type sensors and excluding explosion proof structures.

8. Explosion-proof standards:

Explosion-proof grade: ExdmbIIC T6 Gb

9. Connection cable: Split type electromagnetic flowmeter, sensor and converter are connected by signal cable and the longest cable length should be less than 100m. The company provides free 10m cable with the meter.Insufficient parts shall be ordered.

10. Converter performance

Power supply: single-phase AC power (85-265) V, (45-63)Hz, power is less than 20W; DC power supply (11-40) VDC.

Converter display and programming operation: 4 film keys can set all parameters and can also program the converter by using foreign receiver or PC machine (RS485, RS232), high definition backlight LCD display, empty pipe detection and self-diagnosis function.

Digital communication: RS485, RS232, MODBUS and REMOTE, with lightning protection.

Output signal

Current output: two-way circuit, full isolation (0-10) mA/(4-20)mA; load resistance: (0-10) mA, (0-1.5) KΩ; (4-20)mA , (0-750) Ω.

Frequency output: forward and reverse flow output, the upper limit of output frequency can be set in the range of (1-5000) HZ. Transistor collector is with photoelectric isolation output in both directions. The external power supply is not more than 35V, and the maximum collector current is 250mA when it is turned on.

Pulse output: forward and reverse flow output, output pulse up to 5000cp/s. Pulse equivalents are 0.001L-1.0m3/cP. Pulse width is automatically set to 20ms or square wave. Open collector output of transistor with photoelectric isolation. The external power supply is not more than 35V, and the maximum collector current is 250mA when it is turned on.

Flow direction indication output: this flowmeter can measure fluid flow in positive and negative direction. The direction of the fluid flow can also be judged.High level of output + 10V for displaying forward flow, and low level of 0V for reverse fluid flow output.

Alarm output: two transistor collector open circuit alarm output with photoelectric isolation. The external power supply is not more than 35V, and the maximum collector current is 250mA when it is turned on. Alarm state: fluid air pipe, excitation line break, flow over limit.

Damping time: 0s-100s, optional

Keybutton function

The instrument has four keys, namely function key, down key, up key and exit key

Up key: Add 1 number at the cursor to select the screen upward display content.

Down key: subtract 1 at the cursor and select the screen downward display content.

Function key + down key: cursor moves left / lower LCD contrast (at the main interface).

Function key + up key: cursor moves right / increase LCD contrast (at the main interface).

Function key + exit key: enter the password input screen from the automatic measurement status; confirm the password input; enter the sub-menu; save parameters.

Exit key: return to the superior sub-menu; press for more than two seconds to release the automatic measurement state.

Scope of application

PTFE

1. One of the most stable materials in plastic that can withstand boiling hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid and aqua regia and it can resist strong acid and a variety of organic solvents.

1. Temperature-resistant ≤ 80℃

2. Poor wear resistance and adhesion performance.

2. Strong corrosive medium such as acid and alkali.


3. Sanitary medium.

Polyfluoroalkoxy (PFA)

1. Chemical stability, electrical insulation,  lubricity, non-viscosity and combustible properties are similar to F46, but the PFA material strength, aging resistance and temperature resistance are better than F46.

1. Long-term use  temperature resistance ≤ 150℃.

2. Good adhesion with metal and better wear resistance than PTFE, F46.

2. It can be used to measure most strong corrosive mediums such as strong acid, strong alkali and strong oxidizer; but it is not for KOH, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc.

3. Low smoke, refractory, high temperature resistance and high temperature mechanical strength are higher than PTFE and F46.


PDF-ethylene propylene F46

1. Chemical stability, electrical insulation, lubricity, non-viscosity and combustible properties are similar to PTFE, but the F46 material strength, aging resistance and temperature resistance are better than PTFE.

1. Long-term use  temperature resistance ≤ 110℃

2. Good adhesion with metal and better wear resistance than PTFE.

2. It can be used to measure most strong corrosive mediums such as strong acid, strong alkali and strong oxidizer, but it is not for KOH, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc.

3.Excellent anti-tear  performance.


Polyneoprene rubber

1. Excellent elasticity, good wear resistance.

1.Temperature resistance ≤ 65℃

2. It has resistance to corrosion of general low concentration acid, alkali and salt medium and it has no resistance to corrosion of oxidation medium.

2.Measure the general water, sewage, mud and mineral slurry.

Urethane rubber

1. Excellent wear resistance and good oil resistance.

1. Generally long-term temperature resistance≤ 60℃

2. High strength,good tear resistance, but the acid and alkaline resistance are poor.

Installation precautions

Keep a long enough straight pipe section upstream and downstream of the electromagnetic flow sensor (D is the sensor diameter) as required in the figure below.
